THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD

We are proud to be an
Approved Activity Provider for students working towards achieving their Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.  Our live, interactive workshops teach core classic cookery skills in a relevant, practical and affordable way.

Over the course of 12 weeks, students can complete 12 live workshops or 6 live workshops accompanied by 6 self guided cooking sessions at home with our range of recipe cards.  Our courses give students the freedom to pick and choose menus that they like and mix skills that interest them, whether that is savoury cooking, world foods, bread or baking.  We keep track of all of the skills covered, log students’ progress and act as their assessor.  The flexibility of the course means that students can continue over a longer period if they wish, which is ideal if they are working towards their Silver or Gold Awards.

HOW IT WORKS…

Students can pick any 12 of our live workshops (or 6 live workshops and 6 at home recipe cards) from any of our Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday classes, giving you lots of choice and flexiblity.  Your assessor is on hand to answer questions and give feedback and will check in with you at our live workshops or our weekly Zoom drop ins.  All of our workshops are taught as full meal menus meaning that not only are you learning new skills, but you are also cooking a meal for your family to enjoy. You can download our information pack here.

PRIVATE GROUP CLASSES

If you have a group of friends who are all working towards achieving their DofE Award we can put together a private group for you to all cook together.  You can call or email Chloe (chloe@roundtablecookery.com / 07775 740382) to arrange a private session.
