Our Cook Together family courses are all about adults and children spending time cooking together. We focus on practical skills and recipes that you can make again at home and that build confidence in the kitchen, both for children and adults. This course is aimed at children/teens aged 10 – 16 (although younger children are welcome) and they can bring along an adult of their choice (it is a really lovely way to spend some time with a parent, grandparent, godparent, aunty/uncle).
This workshop will be taught by guest tutor Nic Eadie of Thai street food pop-up Thai Angle. In this 2 hour, hands-on workshop you will explore the fundamentals of Thai cooking, looking at flavours, spices and techniques for making authentic Thai dishes using lovely fresh ingredients.
Nic will teach you how to make a couple of his favourite, quick cook dishes – a tasty Thai green curry, including the homemade curry paste, along with a delicious Thai stir fry. The recipes can be made as vegetarian or meat options, depending on your dietary requirements. You will have the chance to sit and eat what you have made as well as take food home with you. You will go away with a full recipe handout along with the knowledge and confidence to recreate your favourite Thai dishes at home.
The course price of £60 is for 2 people (adult and child). You can bring along an extra child at the cost of £20 by clicking here or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a larger family booking.
Here’s what people said about Nic’s last workshop:
“thank you both for a fantastic afternoon … we both learnt a lot about ingredients we had not seen or ever used before and how to use them which has given us the courage to move forward and start cooking real Thai food which we both love”.
“a really relaxed and enjoyable afternoon and put together so very well with amazing food”
