Join guest tutor Minesh Agnihotri of the Kari Club and former chef-owner of Indian Summer, Brighton, for a morning of authentic Indian cookery.
Minesh specialises in teaching his students how to cook real Indian food in their own homes. During the class you will look at using quality, real spices, blending and layering flavours and assembling a quality Indian meal. Minesh teaches with carefully sourced, fresh ingredients and his dishes have no colours or additives.
During this workshop you will cook some of Minesh’s favourite dishes, his mum’s mamaji chicken (boneless chicken thigh is cooked with fresh spices, cashew nut puree and roasted fenugreek) and for vegetarians a delicious smoked aubergine dish, originating from the Punjab, made with simple spices and mixed with creamy yoghurt. This will be accompanied by a beautiful sweet potato and carrot thoran, cumin and bayleaf basmati rice and homemade wholemeal chapatis.
You will have the chance to sit and eat what you have made as well as take away any leftovers with you. You will also have the opportunity to purchase Minesh’s Kari Club spice sets, among other things, to take away with you.
