Join Chloe Coker for a morning baking beautiful patisserie.
At this workshop we will focus on two classic sweet pastries: choux pastry and sweet pastry. You will learn how to make choux pastry, how to pipe it and bake it to make eclairs, profiteroles or tarte Paris-Brest. You will also learn how to make an easy and versatile sweet pastry, perfect for summer tarts.
We will also have a look a quick tarts that you can make with shop bought puff pastry, along with quick and easy shortcuts.
While your pastry bakes, we will look at fillings and finishes, including creme patissiere, mascarpone cream, chocolate ganache, lemon tarts, meringues and praline.
You will then fill, assemble, glaze and decorate your pastries before boxing them with ribbons to take home along with a full handout and lots of inspiration for summer desserts.
