Make the most of the summer produce with this hands-on preserving workshop. During the morning our chef Chloe Coker will teach you about making jams, chutney and pickles. You will look at how different types of preserves are made, the various types of sugar, setting point and preparing your jars.
During the class you will make:
- Summer Berry Jam
- Apricot Preserve
- Pickled Beetroot
- Spiced Aubergine Pickle
- Tomato Chutney
While our jams cook, you will have time to make some scones and soda bread to enjoy with them and to decorate your jars with fabric, labels and ribbons. You will leave with all the knowledge and skill to get preserving at home, a full handout and lots of jars of lovely preserves to take home or give as gifts.
