I grew up in a family of cooks with a big round kitchen table at the heart of it –  a place where everyone was welcome and there was always room for one more.  That is why I love to cook and that sense of food and togetherness has stuck with me. That is the foundation of the Round Table - a place where people come together through food, whether that is sharing a meal that you have made with your family, baking with a sibling or impressing your mates with your cooking skills.

I live and breathe cooking - it is what I do for my job but it is also my escape when I am not working - I always have my nose in a cookbook or something in the oven.  For me, learning to cook is a life skill but it is much more than that – it is a way to explore the world, to connect with others and to learn something new.  That is why I teach people to cook – so that you have the skills to cook colourful, interesting, vibrant food and share it with those around you – and to enjoy the immense satisfaction that doing that will bring

Three reasons:

1. We teach you to cook, not to just follow a recipe.  We focus on classic skills which we build up over time. There are key, core techniques that underpin all recipes, whatever the cuisine, and understanding those is what is going to make you a really good cook. We build classic skills into all of our classes and that is how we teach our students to become really confident and intuitive cooks.

2. Our flexibility and huge choice of recipe tutorials.  Our mission is to inspire you to love to cook so we have built a vibrant cookery school packed with recipe tutorials and resources.

3. A personal experience.  We invest a huge amount of time and energy ensuring that our students feel supported and inspired with personal feedback and detailed Assessor's reports. We are always available to give feedback, answer questions, suggest recipes and generally encourage everyone to get the most they can out of your courses.

We are four mums of teenagers, so we totally get it—life is busy, chaotic, but also a lot of fun! Between us, we do our best to keep The Round Table running smoothly:

• Chloe: The founder and your tutor bringing all the culinary magic.

• Melissa: Has been with us right from the start when it all began in a home school kitchen.

• Di: Usually found busy writing reports and testing out Chloe's new recipes.

• Biddy: The one who keeps everyone in check!
