COVID-19 UPDATE

The Cookery school is currently closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and all of our June and July courses are sadly cancelled.  We have contacted all of our students directly to offer refunds and/or transfers to other courses so if you have a booking and have not heard from us please do get in touch.

If you have a gift voucher please rest assured that all of our vouchers will be valid until 31 December 2021 so there is no rush to use them.

We are carefully monitoring the situation and will reopen when it is safe to do so with appropriate social distancing.  In the meantime, we are now running online cookery workshops and we have also created a StayHomeandCook cookery challenge for you to try.

What We Do

The Round Table is a Sussex based cookery school. We run fantastic, hands-on cookery workshops across a wide range of skills and cuisines, taught by professional chefs from our purpose built teaching kitchen on an organic farm.  The cookery school is temporarily closed due to the Covid19 pandemic so we have come online with lots of recipes and our stay home and cook challenge

Our Chef

Welcome to The Round Table.  I’m Chloe Coker, I am a professional chef, cookery teacher and food writer.  I have been teaching cookery for nine years now, from running really good quality hands-on workshops and private parties, to demonstration kitchens at the Excel Centre and how to videos for GoodHousekeepingUK.  I set up The Round Table as a relaxed and accessible place for people to learn about food and cooking from well trained chefs and artisan producers.  We teach really good hands-on cookery classes with a focus on real food – great local produce, classic skills and achievable recipes.  Our catering has the same feel – relaxed, intimate, and delicious

Our Kitchen

Our purpose built teaching kitchen is based on an organic working farm in rural mid-Sussex.  Originally a pigsty, it has been lovingly restored and converted into a great little teaching space with lots of light and character, perfect for hands on classes and also for cookery parties.  We even have a sunny little terrace for barbecuing and outside eating.  We are lucky to have a fantastic local butcher on the farm and two biodynamic farm shops up the road.  We are easily reached from Haywards Heath, Forest Row, East Grinstead, Tunbridge Wells and have major mainline stations within a 20 minute taxi ride.
